I have a Z3c that's about three months beyond its one-year warranty. I discovered today that the back glass has cracked; I'm not sure how it happened, since the phone was in a case and hasn't been dropped. Anyway, when I did an online chat with Sony about how to get it repaired, the agent wrote:
"Based on your device IMEI the phone is out of warranty. At the moment our repair center is not receiving out of warranty devices for repair."
I've never heard of this before. Sony no longer provides a way to get authorized service for an out-of-warranty device (that's less than 18 months old)? Even if I'm willing to pay for the repair? Has anybody else encountered this?
it really depends on the local policies of the service centers. though this is unfortunate case in your area,. since you already talked with your Local support, i guess you can have your device repaired in trusted repair shop
I thought all phone had a 2 year warranty?

Where are you located? In my area a whole cottage industry has sprung up for phone repair.
