Snapchat camera freezes

Snapchat freezes when I am taking a video in dark conditions or when I pan the camera too quickly. If I take a video slowly and steadily in a bright environment then it is okay. Otherwise the app will just freeze and the only way to get it working again is by restarting the phone. Anyone having the same issue? I've been through several updates on the app but it seems all the updates never fixed the problem so maybe I thought it is the phone's problem? Thanks.

You can try clearing the camera app data. From your Home screen:

1. Tap the Application screen icon.

2. Find and tap Settings -> Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on the camera app.
5. Tap Force stop -> Clear data.
6. Restart the phone.

Try boot your device into safe mode as explained here and check if this issue persists, because could be a third party application that is causing this problem.

Yo mate. If I boot into safe mode that means I won't be able to use any third party apps like snapchat. So that ain't gonna work lol.

Yes Sir, I know, boot into safe mode in this case was only suggested to discard a problem with your device.
