SI numbers, release dates, PDK, Approvals Jelly Bean To Sony Moderators & Community Manager(s)

To Sony Moderators and Community Manager(s)

There are multiple threads and posts with the same questions and this will NOT going to stop until Sony release a full official statement on this,

  1. What does "We will however, continue to support all these products with firmware maintenance releases"? will this fix the bugs?
  2. Who is in charge of approving the SIM Free updates per country?
  3. Who approve last Sony or a Carrier in the case that it's locked to a carrier?
  4. Did Sony received a Jelly Bean PDK?
  5. Will Sony fulfill or break the "AT LEAST" 18months software updates commitment/agreement at Google I/O 2011?
  6. How come the 2012 Xperias with the same or lower hardware specs, compared to the 2011 Xperias, run ICS smooth w/o all the 2011 lag/crashing issues?
  7. On the same subject as 5. Is sony going to fix all this issues and release an update to the 2011 Xperias w/o bugs?
  8. On the subject as 4. Will the Xperia Arc, Play, Neo and Pro will no longer be supported at the end of August? as it will be 18months since they were released
  9. Will the Current Xperia S be overclocked like the Xperia SL as this "new" xperia S will have the same hardware as the current Xperia S just overclocked CPU?
  10. Will Sony improve the Camera/Picture/Video quality? is this a hardware or software limitation? there are some users experiencing focus issues with the Xperia S, is this a hardware issue that must be recalled?

Yes, it might be Complex, yes it might be hard to answer but if Sony Developer were able to post a thread on how we get an update starting from the source code to the final product (just before approvals) I think this can be done, it'll be like a second part to From Source Code to upgrade release.

Also if you have another question feel free to post it and I'll add it to this top of this thread, try to make general questions not specific (i.e. when is my SI number will be approved/posted/etc, instead something like,  who can we contact to find out if our carrier it's going to release or not the update?)

I agree, I'd recommended the X10 back in the days bc of Sony's promises and well it was embarrasing

I recommended the play for a gamer friend and after the denial of ICS he got really mad.

Now, he somehow installed a version of Cyanogenmod 9, and men, it's good, very fast. The controls are all working...

Also, he downloaded an Xperia S theme, it really looks like an original xperia.

I'm seriously thinking about cyanogenmod, but I think I'll wait for 10 final.

Start-Rant

Lets see, name a few BIG FAMOUS CAPABLE companies who are currently running at a LOSS.

1. RESEARCH IN MOTION (RIM): THE GUYS WHO MADE BLACKBERRY

2. NOKIA: TO SAY THE TRUTH, THE GUYS WHO MADE MOBILES AN ESSENTIAL PART OF LIFE FOR ME AND MANY MANY MANY MORE USERS WORLDWIDE

3. SONY: THE GUYS WHO IMBUED WONDERFUL HARDWARE WITH TRUE JAPANESE TECH TO BRING IN A REVOLUTION IN ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY WITH CUTTING EDGE STYLE, VIDEO, MUSIC

So we all know how SONY is handling it. Lets see how:

1. Faulty updates, multiple reboots to be done for proper mobile operations

2. LATE to say the least in providing essential updates for mobiles SOLD with ICS LOGOS on the BOXES.

3. Hiding information, providing misinformation, and hindering the freedom of free expression of one of the single greatest contriutors to this forum.

Lets see how the others are handling the situation:

RIM: http://crackberry.com/rim-rebuilding-their-fanbase-one-person-time

Nokia: http://pocketnow.com/2012/05/26/nokia-wants-to-call-and-help-you-with-your-new-phone/#!prettyPhoto

Sony needs to be open and supporting to the present customers. How?

1. Give REAL INFO

2. REAL DATES

3. BUG FREE UPDATES

4. ACKNOWLEDGE Mistakes

5. Respect CUSTOMERS and long time FORUM USERS

Sony is really amazing sometimes, but when they make mistakes, they're BIG mistakes.

Bravia Engine, Mobile Bravia Engine and Cyber-Shot changed my life, but they served spoiled ICS to us...
