SI numbers, release dates, PDK, Approvals Jelly Bean To Sony Moderators & Community Manager(s)

To Sony Moderators and Community Manager(s)

There are multiple threads and posts with the same questions and this will NOT going to stop until Sony release a full official statement on this,

  1. What does "We will however, continue to support all these products with firmware maintenance releases"? will this fix the bugs?
  2. Who is in charge of approving the SIM Free updates per country?
  3. Who approve last Sony or a Carrier in the case that it's locked to a carrier?
  4. Did Sony received a Jelly Bean PDK?
  5. Will Sony fulfill or break the "AT LEAST" 18months software updates commitment/agreement at Google I/O 2011?
  6. How come the 2012 Xperias with the same or lower hardware specs, compared to the 2011 Xperias, run ICS smooth w/o all the 2011 lag/crashing issues?
  7. On the same subject as 5. Is sony going to fix all this issues and release an update to the 2011 Xperias w/o bugs?
  8. On the subject as 4. Will the Xperia Arc, Play, Neo and Pro will no longer be supported at the end of August? as it will be 18months since they were released
  9. Will the Current Xperia S be overclocked like the Xperia SL as this "new" xperia S will have the same hardware as the current Xperia S just overclocked CPU?
  10. Will Sony improve the Camera/Picture/Video quality? is this a hardware or software limitation? there are some users experiencing focus issues with the Xperia S, is this a hardware issue that must be recalled?

Yes, it might be Complex, yes it might be hard to answer but if Sony Developer were able to post a thread on how we get an update starting from the source code to the final product (just before approvals) I think this can be done, it'll be like a second part to From Source Code to upgrade release.

Also if you have another question feel free to post it and I'll add it to this top of this thread, try to make general questions not specific (i.e. when is my SI number will be approved/posted/etc, instead something like,  who can we contact to find out if our carrier it's going to release or not the update?)

Indeed, and also I'll add this to this thread

Do we need more low end phones? This phones running a smooth ICS with lower specs than 2011 Xperias!!!!

Just wanna say that, PREVENTION is better than CURE. Dear SONY, please release STABLE updates, even if it is a MONTH or TWO MONTHS late. Rather than releasing buggy updates which haunts the users and you for much more loss of revenue and reputation.

My two cents o the topic.

Owner of Xperia U. Hoping for a stable ICS this August.

Arnab.

Actually that's what they did, the updates were supposed to be released May but Sony pushed them back a whole month
