Several issues

I am having several issues with my Z3+

1) It overheats a lot causing the device to lag for no apparent reason

2) It has done a software update that failed, causing me to lose lots of data

3) I can't seem to record video for more than 5 minutes without getting an overheating warning despite being on the lowest quality video record

4) When the video does record, it is juddery.

6) When playing back videos, they sometimes go juddery using any video app (apart from VLC)

7) The battery is terrible compared to the Z1

I've tried two software repairs and no go.

I'm not very happy at all. I've been told I need to send my phone in for repair, but I've only had it since August. I'd rather just send it back and get a full refund and get a different phone. Does anyone know how I can go about this? According to articles online, I should be able to do this as it's having faults and isn't even 6 months old yet.

I should note I've had no problems with the SmartWatch that I bought at the same time and I love it.

So I've just found out about safe mode so decided to give that a bash. 12 minutes of video before I get the temperature warning. Not good enough Sony. How do I get a refund?

I should also note that I have the official Sony case and what a stupid idea it is to make it just have a sticky surface. If I have to send the phone in then I'll no doubt also have to buy a new case!!

You should contact your local Sony Xperia support.

Thanks. I've done that already but I don't want some clueless people opening my brand new phone already or to receive a refurbished one after the hassle I went through with my Z1. My Z1 has been back and forth 4 times, first time for the initial problem and the other 3 to fix problems the engineers caused, for example;

1) The back wasn't sealed

2) They broke the docking station circuit

3) The speaker cover was missing

4) The most recent one the flaps for the charger ports do not sit flush. I've not sent it back in again yet.

I'd rather just get a refund and a new phone. Does anyone know the best way to do this when I bought it direct from Sony in August?

Cheers

Yeah, the best way is to contact Sony directly as I mentioned. This forum is for Sony Xperia user helping other users. For specific questions especially regarding refunds you would need to contact Sony. Either online or on the phone Or if you went into one of their stores for the purchase then go there. That would be the best way to get the information you need.

It make sense, as the phone has to be inspected.

It can be inspected but I don't trust any one at SBE( who actually does the repair for Sony)
My phone got repaired but still had this issue( overheating, camera crash in 7/8 minutes FHD 30 fps video)
Took it back to CPW and they gave me a replacement since I got it from them, the later not much heat issues so far....will update if I find any issues
