xperia L wont start to homescreen

My xperia wont start until the homescreen appear...it stuck at starting animation only..what should i do...please tell me...

Can you please clarify the information you have supplied, you say that the device will not start until the Homescreen appears?

Are you advising that the handset does start after a period of time or does the handset never get past the animation screen?

That's unfortunate, however I do believe you can resolve this issue by performing a software repair to the handset.

Please follow the instructions to perform this task.

To repair the phone software

1.     Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support 

2.     In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start. 

3.     Under Phone Software Update, click Start.

4.     Click repair phone.

5.     Follow the on-screen instructions.

i've got this error...sony engine update failure (error 2003)

I suggest you update Java on the PC, as this should help resolve the issue.

www.java.com

Or simply update Java through the PC directly.

Please help. I also have the same problem. But i cant repair my phone because it won't connect to pc companion. Please help me. thanks
