SE ELM wifi problem

Hi i just buyed this phone j10i2, connected to my home wifi (succesful) but when I open web browser (orange world) I cant load any website. Error message looks like this: "Communication error. Try again, turn off Wi-fi or contact your provider for support."

Please can someone explain me step by step how to set up my wifi or phone to work properly ?

Hi Luo,

This will probably just be the Orange World error message. Try pressing Options > Go To > Enter a web address.

This should allow you to continue to the web address you enter without any errors (providing that the Wi-Fi is connected correctly)

Let me know how you get on Slightly_smiling_Face

Okay, let me just confirm. Do you get this error message when you open 'Orange World'? The Orange World webpage which loads can only be accessed via 3G/GPRS and not Wi-Fi so you may get an error when accessing the page straight away but you should be able to divert away from this and continue browsing.

When you get the error message you mentioned above, close the error and press the left selection key on your handset when Orange World is open. You should see an icon which says 'www', select this. This is the Go To icon. You can now enter in a web address. Type something like 'www.google.com' to start with.

Let me know if you get the same error message after doing this.

This is what i see when i open Orange world, I also tryed to insert some urls but same error all the time. Perhaps orange world isnt loaded because of that error.

Okay, if you press the left selection button which is the icon of a spanner, you will see the 'www' icon I was referring to. If you get the same error even after trying to access sites such as Google, this would indicate that your Wi-Fi router is not allowing your handset access to use the connection.

The best way to resolve this is to slightly lower the security on your Wi-Fi router and ensure that your handset is in the listed of approved devices. If you're unsure how to do this, you'd need to contact your router manufacturer.

I already tryed to disable password protection on my router but still same results Slightly_frowning_Face

Have you tried any other router?

I'd suggest making sure your handset is in the approved devices list within your router settings also as this is required.

Do you by any chance know the IP address of your router? If you provide this, I will edit your post to blank it out once I have read it.

Okay, thanks for this. Is there any other router you can try with to see if you get the same error?

If possible, please provide a screenshot of the DHCP settings and the IP range?
