problem with wifi speed

i use wifi on my xperia ray to access internet but latelly my phone is having problems

my broadband connection is at the speed of 2mbps and all the devices worl flawlessly but when i use

my xperia ray than spped drops to 10kbps(download),,other droids run on high speed

have you checked with speed test application..??

just search the android market with speed test and download the app and check.. ok...

and post the result here..

i have checked with the servive provider and the connection is A-OK

another big issue is my xperia ray has very very poor wifi strength ,i have to sit right next to the modem to get a good reception.if i even move 7 feet away from modem than the signal becomed very poor and eventually get disconnected

should i visit service centre or is there something that i can do myself to improve this issue????

i donot have service centre in my area i have to go to another city just for the purpose to visit

service centre so i ll be glad that this problem is resolved without me going to a service centre
