SD Card not recognized

Hi,

I've just received a Xperia Z5 E6653 (build number : 32.0.A.6.200).

I tried to use a MicroSD card that I had in my previous phone, but it seems not to be recognized, whereas it is in an Xperia Z3 compact.

Going to Settings > Storage, both SD card options are greyed.

Any idea how to solve this issue ?

Already tried :

- Rebooting the phone

- 4 different cards, formatted as exFat or Fat32

- Restoring default settings

I've just requested a repair and will send my device to the support.

I'll let you know once I get a status about my problem.

My device just came back from support.

Software issue detected, firmware restored, tests passed, but I guess they didn't test the sd card as the issue is still exactly the same...

Do you another solution or does it worth sending it back again?

I'm afraid they will 'solve' it the same way and having my device issue never fixed... 😕

Make sure the pin of SD card is facing up

Yes they are. There is only one way to insert the microSD card, so no chance to do a mistake on this step.

Well did you complete a form before sending it in?

Yes. The form was in the box with the phone, describing the issue.

The phone has been sent to a sub-contractor (SBE, as I'm in France). I've read lots and lots of negative feedbacks about this company, which seems to be known for (almost) never solving problems, and only flashing devices to restore firmware...

Just got the phone some weeks ago.This is really annoying...

What should I do ? Buy a different phone ?

Hi

A week ago upgraded the software on Xperia Z5 Dual. All photos were backed up to SD card. After installing when I checked the SD images most of them can't be opened. Like six months worth of photo's. Since I dont have any other back up was wonderinr what I can do?

Card Reading sofware /Repairing/ Change of card readers all didn't work!

I tried to read it on laptop (Mac) it didnt work. 

So upset now. Don't know what else to do!

Help please!
