Hi,
Sorry to hear about your phone.
Since repair process may differ from market to market, you would do best by raising these questions with your local support team. They should be able to provide you with information such as status and repair time:
Cheers, but the chat people only know what I can see (device has been delivered), at work so cannot call and email takes more than 3 days for a standard copy/paste response, was hoping for people's experiences on here.
I understand. Unfortunately, since repair is at a local level it's hard for us at the support forum to give updates about the repair process. Thereby, why it's best to raise these questions with your local team.
Apologies, I assumed this was a user forum too.
It is!
Xperia Care in the UK received my Z3 last Tuesday morning. Today I received my first communication from them, my repair has been delayed.
That's all it says, no apology, no reason, no time frame.
I received nothing to say "we have received your device", I received nothing to say "keep an eye here <link> for updates", this is the first thing I have received about it.
The status of my repair is still "received" so it appears no one has even looked at it yet. If I email I get a standard replay 3+ days later, if I use online chat they know nothing.
It's 2015, it's difficult to have your camera & 4k video camera taken away from you because of a manufacturing fault, especially when you need it to record the memories of your kids, add to that how important it is to have an always connected smart device in the modern age, add to that my Android Wear watch is now useless.
The lack of updates and then the lack of detail in my only update has left me fuming today and I just needed to vent that on here.
Why a 5 month old phone that has the screen coming away from the phone, water damaged internals has not been replaced with a new handset is beyond me.
