You would need to try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
If that fails then I'm sorry to hear this but you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
Sorry but I don't have a magic answer to get it working - i wish I did but without a Pc and performing a system repair then there's no way of knowing if it is a software issue or hardware
My phone arrived with Xperia Repair at 4:30AM yesterday, according to the site it's status is still just "received"
how long do they usually take to look at the phone to assess the repairs?
how long do they take to repair?
my screen is coming away from the phone, the phone has never been dropped or had any impact, but it was submerged in water last week which is how I discovered the porblem (the touchscreen no longer responds and the phone is no longer waterproof)
How do they usually contact the users?
I received nothing to say they had received (I expected an autmated email or something), they obviously cannot phone me on my mobile and I am working through the day so if they phone my home phone they will not get an answer.
Cheers
