Hi there,
I am desperately in need for help and I hope someone can help me.
I had logged out of my account on my Sony Xperia XA because I wanted to change to a different account. However, after I logged out, I had not yet registered or re-logged in with a different account then I set up a screen lock password. Soon after playing around, I forgot my password!!! Because I didn't register with an email account yet, I cannot recover it this way. I had downloaded PC Companion hoping to recover the phone, but as soon as I connect my phone with my PC via USB, it says my phone is locked and requires me to enter my password. But the point is I cannot recall what my password is!!!!
Is there any way to recover it???
Please helpppp!!!
Thanks so much in advance!!!
Hi @Linh01,
I am sorry you're having issues with your XA.
If you are unable to do @uliwooly's process, you can do a software repair using Xperia Companion. Please be aware that this will erase all data on your handset.
Omg, but he just told you he can't access the Xperia Companion because HIS PHONE IS LOCKED. I have the same problem. When I open Xperia Companion it says UNLOCK PHONE but THIS IS THE PROBLEM, I CAN'T. What a catch 22, I wonder if the manufacterers have any logical reasoning skills. A 5 year old would be able to recognize the catch 22. And I haven't synchronized any account. Apple products asks you to do this immediately when setting up the phone, but not Sony. This is so illogical, I'm never buying a Sony product ever again. iPhones may cost more, but they're worth it, whoever made them is actually smart and not just playing like y'all over at Sony.
