Restore data from K800i to Xperia J

Hi, I have backed up PIM data from my Sony Ericsson K800i to a .dbk file on my PC using Sony Ericsson PC Suite version 6.0.11.00.

Can I use this .dbk file to transfer PIM data to an Xperia J? If so, how do I do this?

Hi,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to transfer the .dbk file directly to your Xperia J. But if you want to access the PIM data, you can rename the format from ".dbk" to ".zip" and use WinZip for example to open the backup. If I remember correctly, you will find a folder which is called "Contacts" where you can find the .vcf file where your contacts are stored. This .vcf file can be moved to your Xperia J (internal storage or an SD-card) and thereby, you can import the contacts.
