Remove piece of paper in Micro SIM slot?

Basically I just got my Z1 Compact and when I was about to insert my Micro SIM, I noticed this piece of paper sticking out. I slightly pulled it out and on the paper you find stuff like model type and "made in China" written on it. Am I supposed to remove this piece of paper or let it be? The paper annoys me but I haven't managed to pull it out, it's stuck like glue.

That bit of paper if you pull it out gently has details of your phone on it - It is attached to your phone

Yes, it holds the serial no. and other information that all manufacturers are required to print on the phone. Often it's behind the battery cover, but since the Xperia battery cannot be opened/removed, Sony put it on that small sliver of paper instead. Just leave it in.

The paper tag must be removed to allow access to micro sim card holder. The micro sim card will not fit with the paper tag left in place. Thanks.

That's rubbish dirwingo. I've had a Z1 Compact for 15 months and have not had any problems fitting a sim with the paper tag in place.

Is there any official position about this little paper ? I have the impression because of this paper my card does not fit and the phone does not restart correctly. Thanks for your help !
