Yesterday the jelly bean update appeared on my Xperia S. Someone on this forum had said that Sony had pulled the update, looks like not!!. I have tried to find a way to remove it, but no luck. So people, is there any way of removeing or canceling it. No way i am going to update at the moment or ever. Thanks for any help
Thanks for your input, guys. I've no intension of rooting the phone till next February, when the warranty runs out. As for rooting, most security software will not work fully without rooting ( i.e. firewalls ). You would think phone manufactures and security providers would get together to sort this out?. Using a major update is about informed chose, there is little information on this forum. People need to put info about their phones. Is it tied to a carrier with bloatware in the software?. Is it a phone with generic software?. Are non English phones having more problems?.Is it a early phone that was upgraded to ICS?. Has anyone bought the latest Xperia S from Sony with JB pre-installed?. I have previously rooted and flashed roms onto phones ( not Sony ) from sites like Mocado and Cyanogenmod. I did that knowing i might get some bugs, but never did. I use my phone like a mini computer, i also take 9mp photos and fullhd video( need more memory). So i'm not going to upgrade and take the chance it may work. I think this phone should have come with 2gb of ram. It would be great if we could do hardware upgrades like i do with my computers.
