Hello, I came across this procedure for rooting Xperia U...Is this a safe process to do..?
http://playfuldroid.com/tutorial-how-to-root-sony-xperia-u/ I absolutely have no knowledge regarding rooting
Plz help.
Every rooting process got their own risk.. I've rooted my Xperia U using that procedure as well, but just as a precautionary measure, do a backup before u attempt to root any device. Hope this can help you!
It depends on the firmware
B.10-- works
B.54 or above does not work
GB-- differetnt story!!

well, that's not entirely true. I'm .54 and I rooted it with that script. after got th update to .54 (from pcc or flashed), flash just the kernel back to .10, root with that script, and then flash just the kernel back to b.54 or even better to c.0
Thanx for the info
Well Im on 6.1.1.B.1.10...So it should work right..?
Thanx for the reply
The script works only after flashing .10 kernel
It aint working right away
so it depends on the firmware!
