I've been using Bridge for Mac for a while without any problems, but since it downloaded the 3.7 update it won't recognize my phone. When I connect, it thinks for a few seconds, then says it cannot connect. I've tried deleting and redownloading the app, and deleting any relevant system files I can find. If I connect it in Windows with the same cable and through the same USB port, PC Companion recognizes it no problem. Any idea what's going on here?
PS ^ I have a Sony Xperia U
Hi MikePemb,
Thank you for the information. We are currently working on solving the problems with Bridge 3.7. If 3.6 works for you, you can use it in the mean time. I'm sorry for not having a solution right now, but it should be fixed shortly.
Best Regards,
David
David, any news on the solution for the probkems with Bridge 3.7 ? My Experia Z has a pending system update that can only be done through Bridge for Mac. Why is it taking so long to fix this ?
thanks
Marcos
Hi Marcos,
It is in progress, tests are being analyzed etc. I don't have a specific date, but I will ask the development crew for more information.

Hi!
I'm also experiencing BfM problems.
The previous version had some bugs - syncing playlists usually resulted in errors, with the playlists not on the phone, and I had to sync again, to the point that I downloaded a third-party app from the Play Store instead. It also gradually gobbled up all of my RAM, leading my computer to start hanging.
When the BfM update came, BfM itself started to hang (I was forced to manually crash it). I uninstalled and re-installed, but it still hangs. Today I no longer use BfM. But I'm happy to hear a fix is in the works.
I use a Z and Mac 10.9.2.
ANY NEWS ??!?!?!?
thanks
Hi Aloy1016,
Hopefully the new version will fix all of those problems you describe. We have tried to reduce the amount of RAM that Bridge uses by a lot, but for users with very large libraries it can take a while for Bridge to load.

David
Hi Lessamarcos,
The new update should be out any day now, it's been through testing.

I cant use Bridge at all. The software installs fine on my Macbook Pro (2013 model). But everytime I try to start the program it crashes and I have to kill it. The first time I tried to run it, it started but crashed as soon as the main window was up. Now it doesnt start at all. I just get the colored ball that freezes everything on the computer. I have to say Im a bit surprised when I read that so many people here have similar problems.
How am I now supposed to get music or movies in to my phone? I feel somehow a bit hoaxed.
Hi z2jois,
I'm sorry to hear that Bridge isn't working for you. Which version of Bridge do you have?
Best Regards,
David
