problems while on the phone with others

i'm using ARC LT15i and i'm having problems when talking on the phone.

I cldnt hear the person clearly over the phone and there always seems to be loss of signal.

this might be a signal/coverage issue. go to settings -> about phone -> status

check your signal strength

"signal is usually measured in dBm. dBm is the power ratio in decibels of the radio power per one milliwatt. A signal of -60dBm is nearly perfect, and -112dBm is call-dropping bad. If you're above about -87 dBm, Android will report a full 4 bars of signal. "

Hi uliwooly-wooly,

i am facing the same problem with  Arc Wifi, the signal strength is too low,my signal strength in status is (-73 dbm 20asu), Can i modify it?

you have really good signal (you have 73dbm)

this is for the network connection NOT wifi.

go to settings -> about phone and tell us which android version and build number do you have

i have a similar problem... but the opposite... i can hear the caller very clearly, but the other party cant hear me. the voice is very soft on the other side, even though my volume has turned to max. i have to use loud speaker everytime for the other party to hear me. anybody has this problem?

A software repair via PC Companion and also try another SIM card might be worth checking.

Im a little scared on my new Xperia ARC, the issue started when i make or recieve phone calls , there was a crackling noise and the connection started to break up, i perfomed hard reset , tested several outgoing and incoming phone contact and it was the same thing.

The Service Provided replaced the SIM card but didnt make a difference, finally  got the cellphone replaced with a Brand-New sealed box one, and after couple of days it started doing the samething, i thougth that might  be a signal strenght issue. However i put an eye when the audio starts breaking the at that particular the ARC was showing all full bars :-S

Have any one heard about this????? please help me out!!!! im afraid this is a common issue that probably Sony Ericcson hasnt even notice base on the facts :-S i dont want to go for a different brand , im totally in love of the ARC the image quality is amazing please help me out!!!!!

sony told me to repair the software, i havent try it yet, how ever i work for sony and im a little electronic smart ,  it wont make any sense that they replaced my phone brand new that it suposed to be native software on it and its still having the same problem? it makes no sense at all however i will try to reinstall the software. i guess is a common defect cause it happens in several parts of the world , i guess you are in the US or somewhere el se , but im in El Salvador in central america.
