Power\lock button does not working on My Sony Xperia LT30P

Hello Everyone.

I have a perfectly great working Sony Xperia T expect the power button.

When I got the phone, second hand, if the phone discharges and turns off then I just charge it and it turns on itself.

Is that the case with all Sony Xperia T phones?

Please can someone confirm?

Not necessarily,if the battery is fully discharged,you need to press power button to turn it on.

Oh ok kool.

My power button does not work, so just as well the phone boots up as soon as the battery is charged enough then carrys on charging..

I have put an app called Button Savior which gives me a visual power button on screen, so I can turn the phone off, but then how do I turn it on again? just in case plugging the charger does not work...

So I think I shall never turn my phone off unless the battery drains completely. I have a reboot app which can reboot the phone.

You might try force restart also(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).

Yes I know. The weird thing is that power button on its own does not work but if I press power button and vol up key then the phone reboots.
But I can't take a risk and shutdown the phone!

Very strange,but if you say it only works like this,do not risk.

Only thing is that I can enter Clockworkmod ( CWM ) but cannot carry out any instruction since the enter button is the power button. 

Moving up and down the list is fine with the vol buttons.

So the phone is rooted?

Yes I rooted the phone as soon as I bought it!
