Low bluetooth A2DP volume problem

Hi,

I have a very strange problem with bluetooth audio volume.

I am using my XPERIA T to listen to online radio in my car using bluetooth audio connection with car stereo.

The problem is that when it automatically connects the audio volume is very low, regardless of the settings on the phone (slider set to max).

The funny thing is that the volume changes to high when i manually change ringer_volume(!) in any direction or when i make/receive a phonecall.

This seems to be a software bug, and it is not a problem with the app i am using (XiiaLive), because it works the same way with other apps (i.e. TuneIn Radio).

Do you know of any solution to this problem? I am currently running Android 4.1 (9.1.A.1.140)

If not, can i expect a fix of this problem in a firmware update?

This is not a fault. It is better for the volume to be set at a standard low level on the first pairing of devices that set to a high volume which may have been fine with one device but devastatingly loud with another.

Wouldn't it be possible to make a switch for this "feature"? Or at least make it remember the volume for a certain BT device once it has paired for the first time? I can understand the reason not to make it maximum volume at first connection, but having to change it every time it connects is really frustrating.

Besides, that leads to the very problem you are trying to avoid, because once you set the volume higher on the car receiver it IS devastatingly high once you switch audio source (to CD or FM radio).

Totally agree. Its annoying. On top of that there is a quality issue with the sound. It sounds like certain frequencies of the music aren't handled right and have noise/ cracking sounds. After using the phone to call that's solved as well. Another thing is that often the xperia sets the volume low after some minutes saying it's bad to use headphones with lou
d volume. It s the car radio not a headset. Please fix that as well.
