Power button and hard reset not working

The power button does not turn on the phone/react in any way. When I attempt hard reset I get a purple indicator light but nothing else. WIll see the Sony logo but ends there.

When attempted to connect it to the PC companion it could not detect that the phone was connected. If the hard reset (power button + volume up) shows the purple light, must mean that the hardware is still okay and connected. Any suggestions what to do?

Aaaand the power button still does nothing. Doesn't put the screen to sleep not wake it up. No response.

But how can it still register on hard reset that power button was pressed but not there?

Through some miracle, at random point today it started working again.
