Power button and hard reset not working

The power button does not turn on the phone/react in any way. When I attempt hard reset I get a purple indicator light but nothing else. WIll see the Sony logo but ends there.

When attempted to connect it to the PC companion it could not detect that the phone was connected. If the hard reset (power button + volume up) shows the purple light, must mean that the hardware is still okay and connected. Any suggestions what to do?

Charge the phone for 1 hour,repair with SUS:

My device is not available in there..

Run SUS in compatibility mode with windows 7.

I do not have Compatibility option under properties in my windows 8
