Poor battery life

Poor battery life

Hi guys!

I have read that some people have issues with their battery life on their Z3 compact as well.

But unfortunately none of these issues applied to me 100%.

I got my Z3C in January, so I have been using it for a few months now.

At first I had no issue at all. The battery life was sensational, exactly how I expected it to be after reading all the reviews.

With almost every setting on (mobile data, wifi, bluetooth, push-up) I managed to stand up to 2 days, and I consider myself a heavy smartphone user.

But then I moved to England (from Austria). I changed my provider. From that time on, my battery life got poor.

It hardly cannot stand a full day anymore. Although I take care that I don't do too much things on my phone anymore.

I really don't know what the problem is.

And I couldn't manage to find any solution that would suit my problem.

I hope you guys could give me any advice.

Thanks in advance.

It's easier on a computer, you could just upload it to box or dropbox and post the link here or scroll to the bottom > full version > upload the pictures

and the funniest part is I never used google app, skype or imo on that day. Also its showing WiFi was on for the whole day, but I was away home and no wifi connecitivity.

Also phone is getting really really hot after 10-15 minutes of usage.

Is there anything I can do?

Cheers.

No surprise, facebook and whatsapp are two of the most battery hog apps there are, you might want to turn off the wifi on your phone if you are not using it.

settings > apps > all > playstore/play services and all the google apps > clear data > uninstall updates

Then

As for google play services try this > open the play store > settings > disable auto update and also check on the Google photos app > disable auto backup, then > settings > apps > all > playstore/play services and all the google apps > clear data > uninstall updates > restart the phone

Thanks for the reply..

Does it mean that using Facebook for two or three hours a day is the reason behind this drastic battery drain.?

Do we still have that location based WiFi option in lollipop?

I can't find any updates for play services..

Any idea why my phone became hot on usage? How that Skype, imo and google app turned on without my knowledge?

Unexpectedly I found another thing, don't know whether it'll be useful for anyone.. There is a setting in viber which keeps your WiFi on always.. You can disable it in its settings..

Cheers

Location based WiFi should be there

That's quite odd that you got Skype on your phone w/o you downloading the app, I don't know what to say about that, unless it was preloaded, which google app are you referring to ?

Apps like viber will drain your battery too.

Hi,

I sent mine to Sony und got it back pretty fast. Everything works just fine now, let's hope that stays that way Slightly_smiling_Face

One reason why I sent my phone to Sony service was because of the battery life, another was that my camera started to get blurry after a while.

Both issues seem to be fixed now.

Cheers,
