Not present in every call, but most of them the party I call say they can hear their own voice, and I have to resolve the issue by using the speaker.
Why is this?
That's strange, I don't have the Z5c but I hope by tomorrow to have an answer for you.
Until then, can you just check safe mode please?
The problem does not exist in safe mode, but is present in a factory reset phone. So it is probably one of Sonys apps that are causing it.
Found this thread on XDA where a guy got a replacement phone which did not have the issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/help/people-call-hear-t3217500
So its probably a combination of faulty hardware and some app.
I also got a feeling you might have a hardware issue. Could you contact your Local support?
@iasion Now I got a clear reply that you cannot turn off mic noise suppression in Z5c. But you should contact your local sony team.
Hi All,
I bought Sony Xperia Z5 Compact from UK.
I completed all the settings on the phone with a big ambition and ever since I have noticed echoes in all my calls.
So I researched, readed, applieded, I consulted to Sony and tried what I need...
I'd try the following:
* All call setting changes
* SIM Card changes
* Different Phone Calls
* Accessories (Headphone and Audio Output runing smoothly)
* Safe Mode
* Factory Reset
* Diagnotis tests (All OK)
* And Repairing with PC Companion (v 5.1.1)
There is no "Microphone noise suppression" and "Speaker voice enhancement"
But the result is still the same.
I think there are two options:
1 - Need to be sent for repair. (But at the moment I'm living in another country)
2 - In fact, this is a software issue and need to wait for the new version of this software
Thank you,
I now got the phone back from the repair and now the problem is even worse. The eco is louder and also the phone seems to pick up lots of ambient sounds... So now its time to repair it one more time and another 2 weeks without the phone... Well done Sony, no wonder your mobile division bleeds money and that Sony are thinking about selling it...
