PC picture as wallpaper

I have just purchased the Xperia Z3 Compact, and trying to dowload a picture from my PC to the phone as a wallpaper, but no matter how small i make the picture on the PC it still does not fit in the screen on the Mobile..  I have had a picture of my dogs as wallpaper on my phone for years, and cannot bear not to have it now,,, is there anyway to make the image fit ?????

Edit the picture with Paint on a PC to be something around 720 x 1280 pixels

Hi, can you not just download the picture from your PC without altering it any......it will appear in your ALBUM......open ALBUM & select the picture, press the 3 dots top right then in the sub menu Use as....then select Wallpaper......you then have the options to Crop Photo or Crop Picture.....

This is what i have always done with any photos i take & want to use them......let us know how you get on......:smileysmileywink:

Thank you dandy63 i followed your advice.  Firstly i was able to get the full picture to save to lockscreen wallpaper, but in side view... but when i save the same pic to wallpaper, so i can see it when i come off lock, it just does not fit, i have tried resizing etc,,,, i even tried another picture, which happened the same,  thanking you in advance roxane

uliwooly,,, i only use one pane,, when i had more, the picture would scroll across them (but still not fit properly)... i do not use more than one pane, and just wanted to have the picture there, instead of the lock screen,,, thanks roxane

Phy,, thank you for your help.. i checked out the sites your posted, but was not happy with some of the comments in the reviews,, so will not be using these apps,,, i dont download apps etc to my desktop very often, as mostly i have no use for them. Think i  will just stay with the picture being on the Lock screen and sideways,,, thanking you roxane
