No sound. Pls Help

I have a problem, when i tried to play sounds, youtube in my sony xperia acro s it doesnt produce a sound, But when i tried to plug a headset it perfectly working, And when someone tried to call me front speaker doesnt working, i need to press speaker volume. Any help pls.

I recommend that you first try making a repair of the phones software using PC Companion or Bridge for Mac. If that doesn't help i suggest you contact your local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) or a service location to have this problem investigated and fixed.

Thank you for the reply. I need a specific instructions on how to solve this problem. What are the tools or appplication that i need to update as mentioned above and what are the steps to do it. Thanks.

First download and install PC Companion in your PC from http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/.

Start PC Companion but do not connect your phone. Select Support zone -> Software update -> repair phone and then follow the instructions from the software.

Please note that repairing the phones software will delete all data in the phone.

I already conculted to Sony Center, they said that its the hardware that has a problem and needs to be repaired. But it seems that hardware of my cellphone is still working since it still produce sounds. Tsk2.

The front earpiece speaker acts like a circuit bridge, allowing signals to reach the main speaker. The front speaker might have a loose contact with the mainboard or it may be partially damaged, which is why sounds are not audible from the main speaker. The headphone jack is directly attached to the mainboard, which is why sounds are audible from a headset. Try contacting the Sony Center to replace the front speaker and see if the problem is fixed.
