This is so not cool. I got the same problem after updating Lollipop on Z1 2 days ago. Curious how noone does not even apologize for this.
This is it for me. The inability to use offline GPS navigation with Here Maps? (to avoid data roaming)
That completely rules out upgrading my Z1C to 5.0.2.
Ain't going to happen.
If Sony does not give us 5.1 - I will be staying with 4.4.4 forever.
Well!
If it is possible to downgrade to previous android version..... be sure I'll do it immediately!
I only hope that if Mr Google or Mr Sony are reading these posts something good will happen.:smileyhappy:
I have had the same problem after upgrading to lollipop last week.
No GPS fix, tried all the above with no luck. its a nightmare, renders a large part of the phones apps and versitility useless.
Last Saturday I've received the automatico firmware upgrade. The new firmware has been precessed correctly and the smartphone is working....but
Despite some issues should be solved (....they are saying.....I don't know what....) the GPS is still "UNAVAILABLE" when a test is done.
Just updated my Xperia Z2, GPS is still not working. And there's a new issue now, the radio doesn't produce any sound unless you turn on Track ID.
Bravo Sony, you really outdone yourself this time!!!
I have the same problem since upgrading to 5.0.2, GPS still worked with 5.0.1.
I have downgraded to 4.4.4 and 5.0.1 but GPS does nto work at all with any version so am thinking that it's become a hardware problem. Anyone else tried downgrading?
I've decided to send my device to Technical Support, after two week I've received it back with the logic board changed.
The fw is the 5.0.2 version.
I don't know if the problem was a HW/SW compatibility or other but now the GPS works again!
Good news Glad you got it fixed! - I'll be sending mine off shortly once I can get hold of another phone to cover the two week phoneless period.
Has there been any further success stories here? any updates? ive had the same issue on my Z3 since updating.
Thanks
