No connection with PC after upgrate to ICS

I upgrated my device to ICS and all looked fine, but...

when I connected the phone to my PC (running XP, SP3), no connection happened!

My PC doesn't recognise the phone and Sony PC Companion fails to make a connection.

That means that I dont have any cable access from my PC to my mobile and vice versa!

So, I can't update my files!

Help me, please...:smileyshocked:

Check your computer's USB, Try in another usb. It could be USB cable problem or your coumpuer's USB port's problem too.

I tried to establish a connection with an other computer with my usb cable but nothing happened. The same problem...

This happened to me, installed ICS on my phone, and the next time I tried to use the computer, no internet!  (Also XP SP3)   I just gave up in disgust, I wasn't happy about the ICS "upgrade" to my phone either.  The following evening the PC was working normally again.  I have had this once before, and had to check or uncheck a box somewhere in the internet connections menu on the computer, I'm sorry I can't remember where, perhaps someone else knows.   The other thing is, as you are XP, is your computer getting old, like mine, and the internal battery is failing and allowing the computers date and time to wander?  Browsers don't seem to like that sort of thing, and fail to connect you.  Hope some of of my guesswork might help, good luck!

The good thing is that, when I connected my phone with my wife's computer, which runs Vista, the connection was o.k. But the bad thing is that connection with my XP computer doesn't work...Sony, can you hear me?:smileycry:

Well, I made a very interesting discovery:

I finally connected my phone with my 6 years old SONY VAIO Windows XP PC, when I changed the phone's USB connection from MTP to MSC!

BUT, the connection was only with the SDcard...

So, there is no way to connect my PC with the phone's internal memory!

That means:

THERE IS A BUG (NO CONNECTION OF PHONE'S INTERNAL STORAGE WITH PCs THAT RUN WINDOWS XP)

p.s.: still waiting for a Sony's reply...
