My xperia u is not connecting to pc companion.....

Today  tried to update my xperia u to ICS butwhen i connected my phone to the pc....it showed no device connected....when i did it 3-4 times.....it remained the same problem......i reinstalled the PC companion 2-3 tmes....but stilll it is not detecting my phone please somebody Help..!!

uninstall pc companion completely, that means each and every software installed by pc companion,

then try installing it from phone.

(Please try to test it with a pendrive to see if the port works fine)

Go to settings->applications->development-> USB debugging..Select That and then connect your phone to PC companion..i did the same and it worked!

I am not sure if this will work for anyone else, but I deleted the music from my phone,  instlalled Media Go via PC Companion and suddenly my phone connected again. I cannot say if it was deleteing the music or media go installing a driver that allowed my phone to connect but it worked perfect and my phone now syncs with media go and pc companion. Windows 7 64 bit.
