Hi,
I have Sony xperia C.Since last few days i am having a problem that my Album and walkman application do not show any files. When launched they say 'There is no item in the collection'.Whereas file commander does recognise the files successfully and shows/plays them too.
I am using my old nokia mobile's 2GB memory card.
Also i am thinking to buy a 16GB memory card for my xperia C , please suggest me proper and compatible brand with the appropriate class.
You can upload pictures, just request desktop version. It could be a faulty SD card.
That would mean all 3 are faulty.Ok so I download an audio track from the net witch I played for as few hours. It just said..cannot play file.
The1,did you try format your card? You could go for a low level format,it will erase everything on your SD.

I think you should visit a sony service:

I have read but I cannot say what could be the issue.A visit at a sony centre should be helpful.
Hey, I have a sony experia miro and witnessed the same problem, but i found a way to resolve it without the help already provided here. Usually it occurs if you have some bug in your phone or theres to many junk files. I used the clean master app to remove the junk files (don't worry the important files and everything will not be touched, its only the pop-ups and things like that which are removed) and then "memory boost" it. It warned me that there was an unwanted bug which would ruin my phone so I installed an app by clean master called "CM Security" and resolved the issue after that all the musics were accesabile through the walkman. I'm not sure if it would work for you or not but try it and let me know. Your welcome
Not to worry. Take out the memory card out of the music player so that you can recover your songs. You can watch the tutorial for some help on recovery process.
