Having weird issues with the Equaliser(s) on my new Xperia M4 Aqua, which is quite hard to explain.
When I'm listening to music via my music player app I have the option of which Equaliser I want to apply to the sound, however only the one built in to the device under "Audio Settings" actually works.
I use the Shuttle+ music app, and the EQ built into it is great for what I want. I've tried using other Music Players, including the default "Music" app which comes with the phone and the same thing happens; only the Audio Settings Equaliser actually does anything to the outputted sound. I've also tried downloading separate Equalisers, but to no avail.
The ClearAudio+ option works, if that's any help. I'd just put up with the Sony EQ, but I don't find it very good tbh.
The phone is fairly new so I'm seriously considering returning it if won't do what I want. I use it for music a lot, so this is a big issue for me!
That's a compatibility issue that the EQ developers have to addressed since those are non-Sony apps/third pary apps.
Oh man,
I am a developer of a music app myself which has over 3 million downloads and I had no clue why the equalizer for my app wasn't working on M4 ,seems like its not just my app
