Multiple text sent

When sending a text overseas it shoes message not sent. The same message us then sent 3 times per minute all day which costs alot of money. Reset phone and removed all games etc but has happened again.
Network company said not their fault possibly a Sony defect? Any ideas?

Sorry to hear that.

To me, this sounds network related. It's something that might happen sometimes when sending a text to another country. If there's a delivery problem in the network, it keeps trying and then every attempt at sending is received so the person you are sending to might receive the same message several times.

Does this happen every time you try to send to this number? To see if it's your phone you could try turning it off and see if the other person is still receiving these messages.

happened to me before. I receive and send twice (sometimes more) sms. what I did:

settings>(under wireless & networks)more>mobile networks>(select your sim you use for sms) sim1 or sim2>preferred network type> select WCDMA(preferred)/GSM.. NOT LTE.

if you are using dual sim m4, i assume you use sim1 for call/sms, and sim2 for data sim. use sim2 for your call/sms sim, then sim1 for your data. because only sim1 is capable of LTE connection. you wouldn't need that for call/sms function right?

SIM1 = data sim (preferred network: LTE)

SIM2 = call/sms sim (preferred network: WCDMA/GSM)

or for single sim M4:

SIM1 = call/sms sim (preferred network: WCDMA/GSM)

this solution will not send double messages again.

this is not SONY issue btw, it is from LTE. search other forum (LTE network sending double sms) and you will see the same solution or the explanation why LTE network is doing such double messaging.
