Official white paper (Xperia™ S) says that Sony Xperia S supports MP4 (.mp4, .m4a) audio playback. I bought the phone yesterday, synchronized with my iTunes Library and then faced with a fact that all my .m4a tracks (which is a standard Apple audio loseless format) is not playing on Xperia S (Walkman player)
I use .m4a as a standard audio file on my iPhone and before buying Xperia S checked if this audio format is supported. Can Sony explain this question?
You don't see any issues? Then why do you spend time in the support forums at all?
I transferred AAC/m4a music (not lossless, but 256 kbps) from my iTunes library to my Ray via Sony Bridge, all green checkboxes, all green, synced and ready.
But open the music player - and the songs are nowhere to be found.
I'm just assuming this is not an issue specific to the Ray, but will appear the same for S and all other Sony s**tphones.
I'm tired to death of my Xperia phone, and this forum certainly doesn't help.
I am going to switch to xperia from Lumia. My question is- can i be able to play nokia stores m4a songs? is it supported by xperia.
Hello there!
It's funny, 'cause I myself have audio on my phone in the .mp4 format. My iTunes library is synced with my Xperia SL via Media Go. I play it with the default WALKMAN player.
