Message/SMS thread not getting deleted

I am unable to delete a whole thread of a SMS. To be specific I am unable to delete a message from a message thread which will actually leave the thread with 0 sms. The net net is each and every thread keeps atleast one sms which I can't delete by any means.

I have tried deletion after clearing cache, restarting my Xperia Z but of no result.

My Xperia-z ( C6602 ) has Android version 4.4.4

Please help at your earliest. Atleast let me know if I can delete those by accessing the physical folder.

How about 

settings > apps > all > messaging  > clear data > restart your phone > check again

I have the exact same problem as stated that 1 msg has to be there and all that stuff

i read that it can be deleted with myphone explorer client

but it cant be deleted from that too for me

how can i delete it

This is a bug. And sony does not support this phone anymore. You can do nothing about it. Accept that.
