Hi Sony,
I have some weird problem with my Xperia U. If I receive a call while listening to music through earphone, phone will only vibrate. Nothing is heard through the earphone. After receiving the call, call timer display will come start after 4-5 seconds. Now, nothing is audible. I removed the earphone, then also loudspeaker both front and back is not working. After disconnecting the call, I played the music, but nothing is audible
I received a call without earphone plugged in, loudspeaker totally stopped working
Only way to set it right is to restart the phone!!!
Please let me know whether this is a software issue or hardware issue. If hardware issue, guide me to get a replacement. If software, fix it ASAP.
This should be fixed soon.

Same Issue ....
I attended a call when I was listening to music. Since then my phone speaker stopped working.
Whenever I want to attend the call first thing that I have to do is to ignore the call, take the battery out for reboot restart my phone then call the number from where I got the call.
In all I am losing money time and patience to attend it.
SONY its been nearly 2 months I've bought this phone. I trust you guys. Please advise I need to get it replaced from the shop I purchased.
Do a settings reset from Settings>Backup. Then remove the live wallpaper and use a static one, see if that solves it.
i wouldn't consider this as solving the problem, more like avoiding the problem....since the live wallpaper is made for the phone, it should run without any issue. The real problem now is how to get the speaker working even when live wallpaper is being used

Please tell us what needs to be done before its too late and shopkeepers starts creating problem.
I have lost all the hopes on hopeless sony...
I have reported this problem 2 months back, after that many updates were released. But in none of those this issue was addressed...
It shows sony is not concerned about their customers....
It seems like a foul play by sony... we post many problems in this forum and and will wait for update from sony. Support people, most of the times give a link to an existing thread, which actually describes "how to avoid the problem"... or its telling like "u can join this club of problems"
Hardly sony team resolves any problems, always its the customer/member from this forum gives a solution!!!
Why sony is not sharing details of the updates it releases? They dont give any timeline to resolve a reported issue. 
Why cant sony be transparent on what are the issues fixed in an update?
Android already has lots of bUgs in it, and on top pf that sony is in a competition to add its own bUgs, which eventually kills the basic purpose of a smartphone 
I agree ! I say Sony Support is also HELPLESS. Because they can not fix any bugs. They can also suggest only how to avoid them. I only hope this is a right forum to

i have recieved calls many times while listening to music but didnt find any issues.
when i recieved a call the music would pause then i would hear the ringtone. after answering the call the music resumed.
i think you have a faulty piece so dont loose time as you are under warranty. go & get your phone replaced. i am also from india.
I confirm that if a call comes when speakerphone is playing you can take it and after disconnection of call music resumes with soft start(.184)

Everytime I try answering the call, it hangs for a while and then no voice...both parties are not able to hear any voice...Loudspeaker stops working ... what is this problem??????
I am facing this issue mainly for incoming calls. Out of 10 calls, I've faced problem in 7 calls on regular basis.
I have to restart my phone everytime I have to make a call.
This is very annoying:smileysad:.
I've heard that if I give my phone at service centre, they may take upto a month....
SONY... How can you be so quite about this .... at least reply or suggest what is to be done.
All people in this discussion have same issue, does it mean we have a faulty piece??? If no... then what do we do with this handset?????
Shubham if you have not updated to build number B.3.184 then go ahead update and then see if your problem is solved.
