Lollipop features making upgrading worth
I have read the forums and realised that there are numerous issues with the 5.0 version on the Z3 (and other Z series models) I am a new owner of a Z3 and I have upgraded from Z1C. I have overall liked the lollipop and appreciated some of the features on the Z1C.
Once I have moved to Z3 i have realized that some of the features where already available in the kitkat version for Z3 but not for the Z1C.
Features that were not in the kitkat for Z1C
- flashlight in the notifications bar - recording the screen
- restart function (as opposed to power off)
I liked on the 5.0:
- the access to the SD card
- the alarm timer improvement and the ability to have the timer displayed on the lock screen
- it realy felt smoother on the Z1C and a bit faster
I disliked:
- the lack of silent button
- THE BATTERY DRAIN
So far I am quite happy with the performance of KK on the Z3 but the nerd in my of course wants the most updated, modern OS (… no need for excuses). The battery life is also very good!
Question for those who have upgraded: Do you think is worth upgrading now to 5.0 and why
All the answers will be highly appreciated.
It would also be fair to have a thread where we also praise (if there any reason) what Lollipop bings to Z series.
Cheers,
T

Overall experience of new Lollipop upgrade on my Z3 is much better than Kitkat, the build has some glitches and bugs all well known in 5.0.2 version and will be solved when we receive 5.1. Some of the stuff I really like:
- Headsup notifications and lockscreen notifications.
- Smoothness and beauty of Lollipop Material Design.
- Multi-users.
- Priority mode, this is one of the best features I use at work.
- Album art background when playing music from lockscreen.
These are some of when I really like, there are more for sure.

After upgrading I have backed up and then did a software repair.
I have reinstalled all the apps. Somehow I lost my notes again but it's OK.
The phone seems to run smoother and the battery seems fine.
No overheat.
I have a HK version D6633 running on 23.1.1.E.0.1

Answering machine works fine
Battery life is good
I have the bug where it displays no service for the card even though there is full signal and I have reception so no issue
Dual card works fine
Magnetic charger works fine and I get full charging from 10% to full in 2h+. Original dock, wall charger
Maybe I'm a lucky oNE but I am really pleased with it!

Once heated up, the home button stops working first and the other apps one after the other. Is there any solution to fix this heating up problem.
