lock screen wallpaper

I'm not able to change my lock screen wallpaper. When I select a picture using these steps settings -display - screen lock -gallery ,it shows gallery again !!
It's there any problem with my device? Why I'm unable to change the lock screen wallpaper? My lock screen type is Swype.

Obviously, if you select galler, it should display gallery,

No when I select a PICTURE using gallery as an option, it should ideally show the crop option!! But it's not showing that option, it gets stuck with gallery!!
