List of Bugs in the ICS update (FW no. 6.1.1.B.1.10)

Atlast the xperia go and xperia sola have started receiving the ICS update !! Though the updates have been received, as the initial reviews have suggested it has a few bugs which needs to be sorted yet !! So rather than having individual reviews about your experience about the bugs encountered I have created the thread so that the sony moderators can keep a better tab of the errors and get an update for it asap !! Being a Xperia P owner i dont have much idea about the bugs in the new update !! However I have compiled the folllowing list of bugs as mentioned by others

1.The phone becomes laggy and very slow.

2. Unable to Move apps to SD Card.

3.the camera shooting speed was became slow after update

This is just the initial bugs which users have noticed !! Feel free to update the list and report any new bugs to the moderators !! Also,I would like to know from the Sony moderators when will the new firware version be released for Sony Xperia P

- Not really I found out it is the animated wallpaper is the culprid

- Yeap too bad this is not fixed

- did not notice it seems the same on my phone...

I like the major improvement and stability of it...... alot of apps which crash on gingerbread is not stable on ICS... hope JB further improve it

Hi,

I have problems with the wifi. When I enable it, the Internet connection is not available on my PC and on the Xperia go. With the GB-Version I dont´t have that problem!

Hi,

1. About the laggy experiance, after doing some playing around with ics+root i realized that this build clocks the cpu to 200mhz. When i change it to 1GHZ it becomes faster. I found somebody showing what happens when you increase the frequency----http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H6yzR-6dls

2. I cannot move apps to sd card, too bad.

3. Same as calvin_ng, did not notice shooting speed difference.

4. Home launcher is still a little laggy compared to other launchers.

I rooted and installed "No-Frils CPU Control" app, changed the governor to 'performance' and speed came back. Not sure if it will stay like that.

Edit: It is stable and working after cpu fix. Now it is very Nice and Smooth.

I bought xperia sola a week ago. till first day it is unexpectedly restarting and hangs sometimes during listening music and sometimes after locking, it dont unlock but i have to restart it to use. also i updated to android 4.0 using pc companion still it hangs and restarts unexpectedly. im from Lahore Pakistan.

i want serious help from sony mobiles as this is the first bad and worst experience i had using sony devices. im extremely dissatisfied. if no help would be done then i will make others aware of the bad quality of new xperia devices also i will never recommend to buy these malfunctioning mobiles. never ever.....

After updating my Xperia U to ICS, I have noticed that it is slower than with GB. I do not use animations in order to navigate faster and it is clearly visible that ICS is slower than GB, specially for the dialer/missed-received calls menu.

There are other issues in the interface that in my opinion I dont like in ICS. In the missed/received calls menu, it is not possible to see in the main list the full number of person. The other one is, while writing a SMS, the area where the message appers, is smaller because now we have an attachment button on left and the "send" button on the right. Just left a small column in the middle than only let you see some words. Finnaly, the slide botton in order to activate/deactivate sound is much more usefull than the camera botton.

Do you have the same opinion?

I hope that Sony releases a new and better ICS firmware version.

In messaging:

Contacts->Phone Groups->Group

sends message to only the default set numbers of the added contacts

but

Messaging->New Message->Add Contact->Groups->Group

sends message to all the numbers under a particular Contact
