I'm sorry to hear.

Have you checked if the LED light is working in the service menu?

*#*#73556673#*#* > Service test.

Still I suggest that you contact your retailer or local support team to get this fixed.

Hello Johan, I remember that after I put this "service menu" number the promo video started! And it was starting to play that video every time that I unlocked the screen! Fortunately I fixed it when I typed this number again.

Is the number you mentioned for service menu on Xperia Z correct?
Thank you.

there is a known issue that led does not work with stamina switched on, I'll assume this will be fixed going forward

FYI (also for Johan):

There is a bug that prevents the LED from working. The LED is dead even with Stamina OFF. The only solution that I know of is a factory reset. Before resetting, go to Settings => Backup & reset and unselect 'Backup my data'. Furthermore, when booting up for the first time after the reset, make sure you UNselect backing up/restoring to your Google account.
Then re-enter your settings manually and re-download your apps from the Play Store. After everything is set up, you should be able to activate Google Backup again without problems.

I don't think the notification LED not working with Stamina ON is a bug per se (it's intended to save power), but it is an annoying feature IMO. It'd be better if we could choose for ourselves if the LED blinks or not.

I'm sorry the service code is: *#*#7378423#*#*.

Hi Johan, being a Nokia desciple all my cellphone life I switched to Sony this month due to quality and Android,

It´s just disapointing following advice from this blog about LED notification that doesn´t work. I have followed advices from DonMC and the LED Illumination light worked all the way... for receiving text, mails etc. also during re-installing all  apps and with several tests during proces.

Until disconnecting from PC and after connecting to Graceby Note for updating titles on my Walkman app. then the LED stopped working.

I´ve tried to enter the *#*#7378423#*#* and it´s only the orange LED blinking, maybe alco because battery went too low.

SONY.. come on.. it  seems to be an old and debated problem on different platforms. Can´t be a new issue for you. When will you fix this problem. It´s a feature all phones can handle.

Fix it.. please..

yes it's a known bug and not fixed yet - these things take time

I would assume it will be in the next firmware update - hope so

Mine has the same issue but is very much linked to stamina mode (which I don't use)

Hi Johan,

In my Xperia Z with the service code provided I see the service tests option, but inside it I don´t see any option to check the notification led. The led/display check only fades away the screen.

Can you give me some tip please?

thank you
