Inactive SIM / Insert SIM Problem on C510

Hi. I've bought a SE c510 recently. Maybe a month ago. All was working fine until a couple of days ago, it started giving me error message.

First, it will say Inactive Sim. Then, it will turn itself on, and give me this error message: "Insert Sim or View Demo Video first" It takes more than a couple of on/off remove battery cycles before it functions again.

My Sim is definitely not inactive. Cause At times that I don't get this error, it works.

I have also updated to the latest firmware as of 06/27/10.

I still get the errors.

Is there s aolution to this? I have been using SE Phones for a long time now and I don't usually have issues like this

Hi. Just to let you know the only way to fix that issue is to change the internal phone board which costs about £40. I had the phone on Three and they just kept sending a new one which eventually developed the same problem. There is not a software fix for this issue if you have warranty send it back and get it replaced with a different handset.

I have the same problem, they replaced the PCB once, refused to recognise the problem the next time. They said, orally, that it was a SIM Problem, I:

i. had the SIM replaced by the service provider, [BSNL]

ii. tried another SIM from the same service provider, [BSNL]

iii. tried SIM from another service provider, [Tata Dokomo]

the problem still exists,

please advice
