I recently asked a similar question in another post but I never got final a reply so I will ask again. If in the (rare) occasion the ICS update is denied by my network provider then can I install the update if I get my phone unlocked? (it is currently locked).
Here are some extra details, incase it helps to answer the question...
Network provider: Three UK
Phone: SE Live with Walkman, WT19i
- As mentioned before the phone is currently locked to Three.
Thanks.
you don't have to unlock neither your phone nor your bootloader to flash ICS in case your network doesn't release ICS I will post a thread like this

Thank you for the quick reply, uliwooly. Your answer seems to clear up my concerns, now I just need to wait for ICS, thanks again!
