If I connect to my van via bluetooth and play music so it comes through the vans speakers, it's terrible! It just keeps cutting out and stuttering all the time. I know more with the same problem, Sony can you fix this issue please?!
I'm on .453 firmware too.
I also notice that the camera seems laggy? Also noted two Memory errors when trying to use the camera from when the phone was asleep.
What was a truly splendidly performing phone under Gingerbread has become to my mind a slightly hesitant, slightly laggy phone under ICS. If I'd bought this phone from new with ICS on it, it would have gone back to Sony.
I expected better - particularly with the delays in shipping the upgrade.
Hi Guys, try this:
1. Do not use Live Wallpaper
2. Turn off Windows Animation
3. Turn off Windows Transition
4. Turn off Force GPU Render
For my case, it reduces the stuttering issue by a lot.
Well i havent tried using a bluetooth device, but after I installed the update, everytime I am using the phone while the music is on (normal minijack headphones)... it shutters, and I am sorry but that is shit.
Hi.
You say "Reduce". That does not mean "fix", so we're close, but no cigar.
I have also found that doing a firmware 'fix install' helped too. General performance has improved but not yet to the point where it is satisfactory. I still get the annoying stuttering and pausing when you switch tasks - even whe you wake up the phone. So this is still a bug or issue with the ICS release.
C'mon Sony - acknowledge this and do something about it please. Stop asking what we would like and actually confirm that there is work being done to list and fix each issue.
Thanks
this is the irony in this unit, my old SE xperia Pro working without any interruption using the same ICS while my SXS flagshit unit with dualcore cpu and 1gig giving me bad mood while listining to music...thats y i choose sony coz i know i've got a better sound quality, unfortunately i've got headache
I've got the same problem and it's is annoying as hell. It stutters at least once every song and makes streaming music to my car audio not an option anymore.
It appears that there's a lot more users who've been experiencing the very same problem, yet no one seems to have a clue on whether SONY is even trying to work on a fix for it.....even more frustrating is seeing this tread being labelled as "assumed answered" for months....If I have to turn off a lot of things just to reduce it but not completely fix the problem, it's a just no for me.
hi guys,
update to the latest firmware will solve this issue.
cheers !
I recently updated to 6.1.A.2.45 on my Xperia S and the bluetooth sound problem is indeed resolved on that. Thanks, Sony!
and what about the users that are in an area where the latest firmware is not available? on the latest available UK generic ICS the music players coughs and splutters if you dare to touch the phone let alone use a Bluetooth device.
