If I connect to my van via bluetooth and play music so it comes through the vans speakers, it's terrible! It just keeps cutting out and stuttering all the time. I know more with the same problem, Sony can you fix this issue please?!
Is this going to be fixed?
I use MW600, the same problem found. I also test the MW600 to see if the problem is caused by MW600 by connect the MW600 to my Notebook, everything works fine. So this probelm is surely from the upgrading to ICS on Xperia S. Please fix it as soon as possible.
Same problem here with MW600. Even unparing and re-paring again didn't help.
So it turns out that it's not Walkman app's problem, because other player app like playerpro is also showing the same problem.
This became an issue after the ICS update, so it gotta be something with the ICS software.
One thing is for sure: they gotta fix this ASAP. i hope it doesnt happen like the problem with the camera.
I have MW600 too and am experiencing the same problem. Didn't happen with Gingerbread.
Actually I noticed another thing. When using my MW600 with my old SE C905 it displays the song title on the MW600 display. That doesn't work any more with my Xperia S - would be nice if it could do that too.
I've been using MW600 for 2 years or so, but it never actaully displayed any song title whether it's paired with my old Nexus One (from Eclair 2.1 to Gingerbread 2.3.6), nor with my Xperia S (Gingerbread 2.3.7 to ICS 4.0.4). I do have friends with iphone that didn't have such problem. So I guess this is pretty much a problem with Android for not displaying song names or caller ID info.
Luckily, there's a newer certified update for ICS according to here: http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/07/18/certified-firmware-roundup-new-ics-firmware-for-xperia-s-acro-s... and let's hope this would fix all the issues we're facing now....
No the actual problem is the update to ICS. i already opened a thread concerning this particular problem here and at the xda-developper. and apprarently a lot of people is having this problem. i own a MW600 and a sony DR-BT50. i got the isssue with the 2 accesories. i did not have this problem when the device was on GB.
To make the music experience better i used poweramp and set the following options
1. enable wakelock
2. set audio buffer to 750ms
using poweramp stil cause this problem(skipping, cutting) but it is less compared to the WALKMAN program.
i also noted that whenever (and all the time) i interact with the device, the music cuts.
please fix the phone. i really like it. and i hope the nest update will fix this issue. and also fix the mtp layer for linux because i cannt transfer files from and to the phone. i strictly use linux. overall its a nice phone.
thank you
Hi Johan.
This question is most definitely not answered. After upgrading to ICS on my UK Generic Xperia S I have to report that using Bluetooth for audio with both a MW600 and with a Pioneer Bluetooth head unit the playback stutters every five minutes or so. I only use PowerAmp to play back my music.
This never happened on the Gingerbread release - even during two 200mile+ drives where the bluetooth was used constantly during the drives. I use the MW600 daily on my commute and have never before experienced stutter. Today, the playback was unlistenable - very frustrating and I'm disappointed that a Sony device could be so bad.
Really disappointed here.
Test on 6.1.A.0.453 firmware, The stutters is still exist but less than the 6.1.A.0.452.
