Hi there,
I have an issue with the update system for my Xperia Pro (MK16i 1249-5155) running a 2.3.4 Android OS (build 4.0.2.A.0.62).
Sony PC Companion always indicates that my phone is up-to-date: so, it's of course wrong. Is there a problem with Sony servers, please? Or should this SI number not be listed?
Thanks,
I have same problem. 😕 My number ist listed too. I am from Czech republic, I hope, this is no problem.
Even i m not able to upgrade my phone(Xperia Pro MK16) to ICS.
Same here in Germany. Sony Bridge for Mac V2.2 doesn´t show any update.
Is there any possibility or is it a problem with Son srvers?
I've the same problem and I'm from Germany too.

"I checked and there is a problem right now and we're working on fixing it ASAP.
As for now 4.0.3 users that has received the 4.0.4 update will be able to update OTA (Over The Air).
Please don't ask about any timings for when this will be fixed, it will be fixed as soon as possible."
in this http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/201595#201595 thread. I think, we'll geting the update today or tomorrow. I'm curious to see if they add new SI numbers today.
In this minutes I update my Pro!!
can you give us a short review about the new look and feel. Thanks!
Sure! Well, updating was very fast and easy. I used PCC. My SMS are saved, my pattern code was saved but I load the back up for my contacts. I'm happy that I did a back up!
In my opinion my phone is a littlebit slower at the start as with GB but that's no problem for me. I used a task killer like before.
I figure it out a bit more.
When you have a qustion you can ask me of course!
It works now.
But...
You may have found this error: "unable to install or start phone software update components". That is to say that there is an issue with the Java RE installation: if you have not yet installed Java, PC Companion tries to download an application (1.6.xx version) which is always unable to install itself (at least, it's my case).
So, on 32 bits Windows OS, you have to manually install Java using an installer from the Oracle website.
OK, with that it's good for 32 bits OS.
But...
On 64 bits OS, if you have already installed Java, PC Companion doesn't detect it. And PC Companion tries to download the same aforementioned bad application.
So, it seems that the update process may never work on 64 bits OS.
Maybe Sony should add a manual install for people using 64 bits Windows OS or Linux.
Thanks,
