Anyone can tell how to capture the screen as a photo on Arc?
I know Iphone can...i hope andriod also could... haha
I'm not exactly sure what you mean since there're 2 differennt ways to do it. You can either install an applciation on ur pc, connect ur phone and do the screen capture from there. Or install an android app on ur phone and do the screen capture from your phone itself.
If you're refering to the 1st, capuring from pc, you can use:
- Dalvik Debug Monitor with comes with Android SDK
- DroidExplorer
- MyPhoneExplorer
For the 2nd, there's PicME & ShootMe. However, it won't work for Arc since it can't be rooted yet.
Just to update. Android will be adding screen capture API in 2.3.3. With that, it will just be a matter of time before you'll see floods of screen capture apps in the android market.
Ya exactly what I meant, to be able to do screen capture on Arc. Hope someone would update here the app that can do the trick soon!
Cheers!
guess what??? binary and gang over at xda developer just rooted arc a few hours ago!!! took him less that 24 hours. currently its only for uk rom but he will be porting over the same for generic rom as soon as he got his hand on it.
do remember that by unlocking and rooting ur device, ur warranty is void. so don't get ur feet wet just yet if u're not sure :smileymischief:
Not got a 2.3 phone but this works great on my X10 and X8 and is fairly simple tutorial (I managed to follow it!)
I wish to be able to capture the phone screen and share it online like via Facebook when on the move.
use GingerBreak to root your phone. you dont' need to unlock the bootloader and void your warranty. then you can use those apps in the market to printscreen on your mobile.
It's a small issue, not worthy to go thru that much of trouble. Thanks for the advice!
VERY EASY!
I have Tipo and it's extremely easy to print screen. Push Start button and Down Volume rocker for a while...then gotcha! Should be just the same with all Xperia with ICS or up. Good luck folks!
No need to root nor complex things
