xperia U issue with reconnecting to carrier's network

Hello,

few days ago i've bought xperia U and have some problems with reconnecting to network. Whenever I lost the signal from my carrier's network the phone wont reconnect to the network (even in places I usually have max signal strength), in order to reconnect I have to turn off and on the phone. I've looked for if there's an option to turn on autoreconnect but coulednt find anything, also Ive tried to put my sim card in my friend's xperia neo and it reconnects without any problems. Thanks in advance for any suggedtions what might be wrong.

uninstall any antivirus and/or taskillers, also if the SIM card it's older than 1year you should get a new SIM card

And define your provider in phone   If you don't need 3G network, switch also to pure GSM (2G mode)
