How to downgrade to ICS after JB upgrade?

The JB upgrade is a big dissapoitment for me, everything that I liked about my Xperia is gone. WHY DO AN UPDATE THAT TAKES AWAY EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOOD? Here is my list that I miss after 4 days of JB:

  1. lock screen notification (received messages, emails, missed calls, facebook events, calendar updates) are gone, all what I get is a stupid picture on the lock screen.
  2. LED notification - it only flashes on white, until now there were different colors for different events (red, green, blue, white).
  3. the nice blue live wallpaper
  4. I really like the black background color in the contact list, keypad, messages, incoming calls. Now it's white (or gray or something) and it's really hard to read it, in direct sunlight it's almost impossbile.
  5. The automatic backlight adjustment is not wokring anymore, I checked the settings and ieverything is set up correctly.
  6. Using stamina mode drains the battery faster than ICS without the power saving feature.

In one word: thank you Sony for ruining the best phone I ever owned until now. It's almost like having an ugly plastic Samsung. How can I go back to ICS?

before you downgrade repair your phone with SUS it will run smoother.

if you must downgrade you have 2 options

1) take it to a Sony repair center

or

2) use flashtool

Thank you uliwooly for your help. Since my phone is not rooted and I don't want root it (it's still in waranty, I bought it a few months ago) I will try to use Sony's update tool (I have to charge my phone first, since it's around 5%. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe not.

I can't take it to a Sony service (mostly because the nearest Sony service is 350 km away from me, secondly I use my phone on a daily basis, I can't just tell the my clients that "uh well, sorry but Sony made a stupid update".

I just hope that somebody is reading from Sony, this is one of the reason I choose a Sony device:

So thanks for nothing...

um ok but those aren't issues but preferences, and as for stamina > turn it on > tap on it, delete the apps that are on the list, if you don't it won't work as the data will remain on.

I know these are not issues, but these were some nice features. Why would they take it away? Did anybody complain about it? It's like taking your car to an oil change and they take rip out the air-con and headlights.

I turned off stamina mode. I closed all the apps that were running in the background (stamina was notifiong me to turn them off) but still the phone drained the battery faster. I ussualy was left with 25% of battery charge by 11PM, now it was 4%.

that's not the same at all,

It's like taking your car to an oil change and they take rip out the air-con and headlights.

there are MYRIAD options on the playstore, that's one of the main ideas of an smartphone, you can customize it as you please

I don't know which time zone do you have so I don't know how many hours it has been

go to settings > power management > battery usage

post screenshots of the whole list, also the graph and tap on the top 4 items on the list and post the screenshots here.

I know that's the idea of a smartphone, that I can customize it however I want it. In my case, I want it exactly how it was :smileylaugh:. I loved the appearance, the notifications, everything. Now I have to install something else to get back that was out of the package, and probably it won't look the same.

Here you have some screenshots from my usage today. I live in GMT+2 (currently it's GMT+3 beacause of daylight saving time):

there you have it, your wifi was on and "Active" all those hours, that's the reason yoru battery is draining, something its syncing, perhaps apps' background data, go to settings > accounts > tap on each account and check which app it's syncing (you will see the icon)

I don't see any issue with your battery, its 13hrs 36min take away an hour or 2 because you started charging your phone and you will still get 12-11hrs that's normal, but again, your wifi its not just on but active something its constantly syncing.
