low sound in headphone after the update

i have a problem with my volume level in my xperia S after the last update to jely bean which is your official update to this device .....i can hear any thing around me while the music level at the max ...so what the problem ? any fix ?

please note that i use the same old headphones that they were working great on the last vesion .

I suggest performing a Factory Data Reset on the device to help clear up any software issues that may have occurred whilst updating the handset.

Menu > Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset.

Make sure to untick the erase internal storage option.

thanx for replay but also tested before asking and nothing happened ,,,,,i made it twice and still same  ....this update have many problems like battery discharging and stock sms which didnt work at all and crashing all the time but the most important is the media volume because i bought my xperia for the sound specifications,,,,you know that its general problem and im not the first one who suffiring so why i have to wait till next update to fix it .....is there any way to downgrade officialy ?
