How to change the setting of the bottons

Hi there
just a little probleme.: in this smartphone there are 2 buttons, one is used to open the screen and the other used for zooming in/out or for increase or decrease the audio for incoming call.
The question is simple: I don't want to use this botton to manipulate the audio is there any way to disable this function for this button???? This why many time I use the phone can happen that with finger you can close the audio and this is absolutely unfeasible.

This key has been designed to control the volume, it cannot be changed.

You might be able to IFF you flash a custom ROM.
