How do I stop text vibration?

I can't seem to receive a text without it making a sound as well as vibrating.  I've got the vibrate set to never but it only doesn't vibrate when its on silent.  i've tried all of the options like when sound is off, never, always etc but nothing changes.

I just want the text alert to be a sound and no vibration!

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

go to the messanging app -> press MENU -> settings -> uncheck vibration

Please go to Messaging > Press the Menu key at the bottom right hand > Settings Notification vibration.

Turn off Vibrate

Settings>Vibrate>Never

Uncheck Haptic Feedback

still has text vibration

Uncheck Vibration on keypress

Was able to stop text vibration
